Osteopathy & Chiropractic
Osteopathy and Chiropractic are treatments designed to improve mechanical and muscular skeletal problems. Both professions focus specifically on joint and muscle function but use different approaches to achieve the same result. It has been suggested by the founders of our respective professions that by treating these structures we can affect the nerve, blood and lymphatic supply to other parts of the body. In simple terms when a joint seizes up, for whatever reason, a program of joint mobilising treatments, coupled with neurological reflex approaches, ligament & muscle techniques, combined with nutritional, herbal and homeopathic remedies will often resolve the problem and stop the associated pain.
Since 1993 Osteopaths in the UK have been governed by a statutory act of parliament known as The Osteopaths Act. This means when you visit an osteopath in the UK you can be assured they are registered members of the General Osteopathic Council (GOsC). Members have completed a 4 year full time degree course, passed stringent tests, satisfy the annual registration requirements and are fully insured.
